Nope, my Sunday was not awesome. My Sunday was haunted with the tenses of getting a call from office. Oh yeah, this was one of those days that you need to work on Sunday from home. It was not the fact that I have to work on Sunday that kills my weekend, but the fact that I would be getting a call anytime during the day to start to work that made me feel crappy. Couple weeks ago i tried to make an entremet cake. But I ended up making some other dessert because it is easier and faster :). So here we go: Strawberry Pistachio Tarlets.
The idea of this tarlets is garden inspired dessert. The tartlet itself is a combination between the sweet strawberry combined with a layer of subtle pistachio paste. But I think this recipe still has lots of room for improvement. Continue reading
Last week we had a mousse session in my kitchen. Couple of my friends came and asked me to teach them how to make a simple mousse based dessert.
So we decided to make a simple verrine dessert consist of 4 layers:
- Blueberry jam
- Blueberry mousse
- Strawberry mousse
- Vanilla panacotta
It takes only around 1 hour to make them (including waiting time). And the result were satisfying, it was sweet, tangy, fluffly and pretty.

The first time I made this cake was for my friend’s birthday. She likes chocolate and banana, so I was thinking to make a chocolate banana mousse cake for her. But then, since i was not sure whether we could deliver the cake on time, I changed the banana component to vanilla mascarpone cream (Over ripen banana is not nice ;), isn’t it?).
